Useful Numbers in China

When travel in China, a list of useful telephone numbers will not only ensure a safety tour but also a more convenient travel. China offers so many useful service telephone numbers for getting helps or information which you may need.

For emergencies or accidents

Note: About 110, 119 and 122

110 is for alarm service while 119 is for fire alarm and 122 for traffic accidents report. There three 24-hour calls are all the organs under the municipal bureau that receive the alarms given by the public. As the windows of the public security organ, they are open to the whole society to provide services to the public.

These three calls have respective focuses.

► When the public’s life, property, etc. Are threatened, or there occurs some urgent and sudden event that the public is unable to settle, you may call 110 to give an alarm and seek help.

► If someplace is caught fire, you should call 119

► If some traffic accident happens, you should call 122, so that the public scurity organ will assign special personnel to the site in time

► The above numbers can deal with the communication service after you use Chinese SIM card. If your Chinese SIM card belongs to China Mobile, dialing 10086; China Unicom dialing 10010, and China Teleom dialing 10000.
